Tick Tock Around the Clock

First graders had a terrific experience learning how to tell time. We learned a fun chant in Ms. Hinnant's class to help us remember which hand tells us the hour and which hand tells us the minute. It goes like this: The small hand has the power it shows you the hour! The long hand shows the minute count by fives to get it! We also learned the "Tick Tock Around the Clock" song in Ms. Hinnant's math class!  Here are a few photos of our fun times... hahah

We used large clocks, small clocks, medium clocks, the Activboard, flashcards, songs, videos, and much more to learn how to tell time time!
