Mr. Nate read Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? by Dr. Seuss as part of our March Dr. Seuss author study.
We also created our own class book! We learned that onomatopoeia is a word that imitates a sound. When we read Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? we listened very carefully for the sound words, then we wrote our own words. We had the
privilege of having Mr. Nate assist us with this activity too! He helped us brainstorm many onomatopoeia words and think of ways to illustrate them too!
Mr. Jay read Dr. Seuss's ABC Book as a part of our March Dr. Seuss author study. We also created our own class book by writing our capital letters, lowercase letters, and finding nouns and proper nouns that begin with our letters. Mr. Jay helped us use the dictionary to find nouns that we could write and illustrate. Mr. Jay assisted us with this activity and many others during his time volunteering with us.
Thank you for helping us make our amazing book Mr. Jay!
We enjoyed finding words and illustrating our work the most!
