We've Been Busy...

Here are just a few snapshots of our classroom family (and things we have done) that we thought we should capture to put on our blog... enjoy!

American Symbols

During our American symbols unit we had a blast learning about the American Flag, the Bald Eagle,  the Washington Monument, and the Statue of Liberty. We enjoyed interacting with American symbols through video, music, art, and various reading texts. We were able to learn so many facts about each symbol as we visited all of the first grade classrooms to create our own representations of the American symbols we studied during our unit. We even created an American symbol walkway display for our Hollymead community to enjoy in the front of our school.
